.As much as I hate to admit, for my natural girls there are certain rules pertaining to the professional world when applying for a job. One of them is to wear your natural hair appropriately. Conforming sucks, but sometimes you can't change the system until you're apart of it.

  • I agree there are some work hair styles. I also think this applies to relaxed as well. There are just some styles that are not professional regardless of relaxed or natural.

  • @renaissancesista indeed, but a lot of career counselors will tell women with natural hair that their chances of getting a position is greatly decreased if they show up to fill and application or interview wearing their hair in its natural state. Wash 'n go...something so simple & cute...is a definite no-no. Sad but statistically backed. For relaxed ladies, I remember reading long hair should be pulled back neat.. can't believe it even matters smh

  • When I had an interview the other day

  • This is so true, I hate that though :/.. Nice video! I pulled mine back

  • And you're basically saying you can't be professional with natural hair because of the way it makes the office look. SMH.

  • If you were attempting to make a statement about wearing your hair appropriately for a job interview, you should have discussed relaxed styles as well. For you to be a member of the natural community and say this is rather offensive. We will NEVER get past these stereotypes/judgement if this talk goes on. Either way the employer would find out you have natural hair and furthermore, you shouldn't work for someone who doesn't want to hire you based on just your hair. Your qualifications matter.
