I like how she goes for it 110%. Wonder whether she likes Art Pepper, who also went for the fences.... I hear his cry in her playing. Great to see an impassioned, talented young jazz artist.

Never heard her before and it 's obvious she has been playing many yrs. she picked a delicious tune by jimmy rowles if i'm not mistaken and she lays it down admirably . BUT....damn but she has a strident/bright sound concept that is just too searing to my tender heart....especially on a dark piece like this . she should relax way down and soothe the listener .this borders on an attack . i'm hearing too much EFFORT. all this bullshit having been said tho....this person can play the alto. thanks
