Extension in the "modern" turn generally begins right after maximum
flexion in the bottom part of the turn. It is accompanied with an early
transferring of weight to the inside skis which is becoming the new
outside ski. The skis finish the old turn, while the body is moving
and, most of the time, extending into the new turn. This happens before
edge change. At edge change, the skis then also begin their new turn.
