You will be greatly missed, Shelby.

Rest in Peace, darling.

  • Her mom came and spoke to our school today; it had a really big affect on all of us. You always hear about everyone in our little country school, getting drunk. Honestly, I cried so hard. Just the thought that her parents can go and talk about this, is amazing. It made an even bigger impact when we all saw how gorgeous she was and everything she's done in her 17 years. Just knowing how much more she could've done, breaks my heart. R.I.P. Shelby, even though I've never even met you.

  • @jenniferrlynn14 Thank you for your comment. and yes. What Debbie is doing is an amazing thing. And Shelbz was a fantastic and unique person. I wish everyone could have known her. (:

  • Shelby was such a nice, sweet girl and this situation is very heartbreaking. My condolences go out to the Allen family and for those who have lost Shelby as a friend. This must be so hard for them. What the Allen's are doing with their alcohol poisoning education foundation is so great. Debbi Allen is so strong for doing this and doing such a great job for educating these teens so something like this won't happen again. At least Shelby is in Heaven now.

    RIP Shelby Allen

    RIP

  • My older sister was in her same high school when she died. I didn't know her. I will never know her. I'm only 12, and the influence of drugs and alcohol in my life (I'm not involved with it or anything) and at my school is horrible and scary and sad. A student brought drugs to our middle school. Even after all of the talks and lectures I still find it hard to wrap my mind around this awful reality. I didn't know you, but you didn't deserve to die in a cold bathroom. Rest in peace forever Shelby.

  • i remember when her mom came and spoke at my high school two years ago. it had such an impact on my school and me. i still wear my dig life braclet to remind my self wait until im older to drink and help my friends when they are like that. we even have a dig life club. im glad they shared their story even though it was sad it sure had an impact. i wish i could have meet her she seemed amazying and kind hearted

  • That's..sad I don't know who she is but, I'm really sorry for your loss.. and this song always makes me cry. So I can't watch anymore but, may Shelby rest in piece. I have a cousin with the same name and a few days ago she popped 8 Xanax and I fear for her life, with the path she is going down. RIP, Shelby Lynn.

  • I miss you Shelby.

  • @TatianaSword What you said was not appropriate for this video. I can't believe someone would say something like that on a video comment about someone who has died. This video was put up so Shelby's loved ones could remember her. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all, this is for people who want to remember Shelby and write positive, happy things about her, and to comfort others. You need to think twice before you say something.

  • @TatianaSword What you said is not appropriate, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. This video was for Shelby's friends and family who miss her every day and they do not need to see disgusting comments like yours when they are remembering their lost loved one. You need to think about what you say before you say anything at all

  • What a terrible tragedy and I am so sorry for your loss. Just 5 min. ago, I read the article on MSN regarding her story. As a mother of 2 boys (14 & 11) it frightens me that this too can happen to the best of kids. I commend Debbie and family for sharing her story with others and spreading the message about the consequences of binge drinking. What a wonderful and courageous act and I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to to do.

My condolences to her friends and family, and may she RIP.
