The goal of education policy in Burundi was to increase the number of children with primary school access, and the number of children in the last few years actually increased, therefore the project of universal education cannot be called a failure, says Frediane Nsengimana, a school inspector in western Burundi. Though, there are some quality issues, she adds.
1. The average of schoolchildren per classroom: over 80
2. 5-6 children share one book, at some courses there is nothing to share
3. Not sufficiently (enough) educated teachers (js bi kar brez enough napisala, ker tko al tko ze poves da niso dovolj izobrazeni)
