As far as I Know this beautiful song is not traditional. It was composed by Seán Ó Riada in the 60's.
you play it fantastic.

Hi Maraldi - You are Correct. The Poem is out of copyright but the Tune was written by Sean O'Riada and is still in copyright. It is published by Sean O'Riada Music/Real World Works Ltd. (Its a common misconception that the tune is traditional) The Publisher!

Yes it is. I heard the melody and fell in love with it. I probably do not play it exactly as it was originally written, but I try to keep up the tradition of learning by ear. Thank you!
