quick low light test in my room at 1080p video quality. I think it performs pretty good in low light, it is pretty dark most of the video though, it must have trouble picking up the light. The only problems i see in this camera's video camera so far is the zoom noise you hear in video and it has trouble focusing the farther you zoom in.

  • For video, what would you recommend for the price? I do a lot of action shots and fast moving stuff (BMX edits) and i need a good HD camera. I was looking into this because i might want to get into photography too but cant afford a DSLR. I have a Samsung u10 (yuck) and i need something better. Help me out

  • @toxicstupidity i really wish i could help you out. ive tried out many different pocket camcorders, 2 in 1 cameras (take stills and video) and i just haven't found what im looking for yet. I am pretty picky when it comes to video so that doesn't really help. In all honesty, if your going to be doing a lot of filming, just save up some extra cash and get a full quality, full hd camcorder. pocket cams and 2 in 1 cams just dont record with the same quality as full camcorders.

  • @nairbsille They also dont have the right features for filming. They are coming down in price as "HD" becomes more mainstream. DSLRs are really the best way to go in terms of quality for filming and stills, and as they are becoming more popular for video instead of just stills, more of them offer 1080p video features. Im personally just saving up for a nice DSLR (specifically the Canon Rebel T2i), but as you said, they are very expensive, so its hard to get one compared to other products.

  • @nairbsille what about this camera?

  • @toxicstupidity the stills it takes are very good. crisp, clear and big resolution. Tons of options and features to mess with. The video is decent, i just didn't like a few things about recording, you can read some of the things ive posted about it in other comments. All in all its a great 2 in 1 camera, a little bulky, but for what you pay for, you definitely get a lot of great features. I'm just really picky about cameras.

  • @TheMoo1231 well it wasn't completely for the .mov files, the sound records in stereo which I thought would be good until i recorded some videos and the sound quality was good but it would pan from speaker to speaker causing annoying uneven audio tracks. and i had trouble with the videos themselves, like this video was a lot brighter while recording but when I put it onto my pc it was much darker. so the camera itself wasn't very good in my opinion. but thanks for calling me a retard

  • @TheMoo1231 this program seems to have solved all my conversion woes... thanks!

  • @nairbsille '
