"In My War, My Story," eighteen men and women talk about their war in Iraq. There is David from Illinois, who speaks about coming home and angrily confronting war protesters. Adam, from Georgia, describes being against the war while in uniform in Iraq. Dustin, from Colorado, talks about his friendship with an Iraqi man, with a surprising twist. Fernando, from New York, denounces a system that sends the poor to fight for the benefit of the wealthy. Abbie, from Wisconsin, is trying to get back a "normal life" in the United States. Brian, from Wyoming, says that the U.S. can't pull out until the job is done. Jimmy, from North Carolina, describes his part in a tragic checkpoint killing. In creating this 88-minute documentary, we tried to find the vets, wherever possible, on their home turf, in their towns, on their streets, and in their living rooms.
