It is not a 1970s commercial. It iis from the 1960s. The mothers hair style and clothes and also the 1960s persil box and the 1960s Hoovermatic twin tub all confirm it is a 1960s advert.

I had a twin-tub a LONG time ago. It amazes me that in the UK, lot of FAMILIES still did their wash in twin-tubs until the late 70s.

One of the signs of a mother's care.... these days a lot of kids are in daycare - a sad time for society!
thats such a sweet ad.... a reminder of the fun & innocence of children and a mothers' adoration...Id buy it even today-timeless..
