This is gameplay of the Japanese version of Fighter's Megamix on the Sega Saturn.

I bought the Japanese version, because it was a lot cheaper than the American version. From what I hear though, the American version runs smoother.

I'm playing through the arcade mode with Wolf. I'm a little rusty with him, but I still do pretty good. I only recently got the game, so I don't have all the characters unlocked just as of yet.

I believe it's just on the default difficulty setting seeing as I can't read Japanese, and don't know how to adjust the difficulty setting in the options, because it's all in Japanese.

If you've got a Sega Saturn, then you really need to get this game. It's Sega vs Sega in this one. Essentially, it's just Virtua Fighter vs Fighting Vipers with some other Sega characters thrown in, but it's one of the best 3D fighters on Sega's overlooked 32-bit system. It's one of the best fighters of it's generation too.

  • I remember buying this as a young teen back in '97 i believe, the unlockable characters are crazy...wasn't there a green duck?

  • It's a green bird of some sort. I don't think it's a duck though.

  • Oh ok....it's been like a decade since i've played this and i can't believe THATS the character i remember lol

  • It's still a fun game. if you've got a Saturn, you should play the game again.

If you don't have a Saturn, you should get one. It's a great system.

Some of the games are really expensive, but you can still find some great ones for a good price.

  • And a fightable CAr?

  • Yep The car from Daytona.

  • Too bad game developers are too caught up in being pretentious artsy assholes to do anything like this anymore. This was when games were about fun and we got mash up games like this. Now games are moving more and more into movies instead of being video games they want interactive movies. I wish I mean, we have Marvel Vs Capcom, yes,. But the 3rd looks like shit and that concept is getting tired. Please bring back Fighting Vipers, Sega.

  • Why Sega can't make a sequel with characters from Phantasy Star, Last Bronx, House of the Dead, Shenmue Etc

  • Never got to play this when I was younger but it doesn't look like the frame rate is too great.

  • i used to love smashing people through the walls!!! XD

  • @pogonaut220 Bean The Dynamite. He was from Sonic Championship in the arcade.

  • Love this game bought it as soon as it came out. So many games copied Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers

  • Damn .. I had this ! MEMORIES!!

  • THT IS TEKKEN LOL .... BUT OLD SKOOL YOU GOT KING

  • @CyberSpectrumND You said it. I constantly keep thinking to myself "why are games being more like movies. Games should be like games". I mean, we had interactive games and they are the reason why the Sega CD died.

  • why doesn't anyone give this game credit? its amazing! mixing elements of two already great fighting games, and bunch of characters, and the first game to have a side step!

  • Wolf=King Jacky=Kazuya Mishima :P
