Theremin Cello

By request, here I am playing Theremin Cello. I am not a cellist... nor a theremin cellist! Very much still learning this instrument. I know I just commented, but I was watching you're technique. I think it might help not to use the same finger for every note. You're doing a great job, but switching fingers will add definition to switching notes, and reduce the amount of motion required.

I think you are right. This video was done in my early days of owning it. Ive moved to a technique as you describe, though I have gotten distracted by other instruments!

A tube theremin definitely CAN sound very much like a cello; listen to the Clara Rockmore videos or (even closer) "The 1937 Philip Stout Theremin" ( watch?v=rpMLYI0XG0A ).

I read on the web that the original timbre of the Theremin Cello is lost because parts were missing. (Are there no recordings?!). May it be that it indeed should sound rather like the above theremins instead of this flute or tuba? (RF intermodulation between both theremin oscillators makes a string timbre.)
