i wonder if you gave it more lift on the legs if you could use like mini 4wheeler shocks and make a smooth ride

1 tip :
Put rubber feets under
1 - more grip
2 - u go faster
3 - no noise on hard grounds
4 - make a shaft in the leggs and u can go of a stairs ( i tried and falled 1 time XD )

its a good start. needs a lot of work. right now it looks no better than scooting around in a regular chair... don't get me wrong; great ideas in it. just i think a smoother ride and a bit more speed is important.

Nicely done! I wanted to make a butler bot with a simple hexapod chassis. I'm considering this method but reducing overall size and fore-aft length.
What would happen if you make longer legs so it can take bigger steps? Will it fall over or what?

If the legs were a foot longer, I doubt it would fall over. 3 or 4 feet longer would likely pose a problem. It's all dependent on where the center of gravity is located.
