On November 4, 2009, a group of concerned New Orleanians gathered in the First Unitarian Universalist Church of New Orleans to demonstrate their anger that Senators Vitter and Landrieu would even consider allowing a filibuster on ANY health-care bill proposed to the Senate of the United States. They demanded an up-or-down vote by all senators to assure operation of the democratic process without political shenanigans designed to thwart the will of the majority.

  • So you think there should be a lw requiring companies to buy you some insurance, interesting.

Thats what this bill is about for the sheep that don't read but get all their info from TV.

  • No, I say nothing about companies at all. In the best of all possible worlds for me, a government agency, Medicare, would handle insurance premiums and payments fpr normal procedures. Canada does it, and all my friends there are content with the service. As for TV, I agree, so I never watch it.

  • I am from Louisiana too, and if Landrieu votes for this crap I will filibuster her! She sold us out for a measly $100 million!

Landrieu and Vitter BOTH know that the majority of the people of this state are AGAINST this Reid Health Care Bill!

  • And that money would come from where?

I read those bills, they want to force me to buy insurance for employees I can't afford.

If I don't but it my employees will have to buy it against their will, everyone will have to pay for two policies for the next 3 years before the gov plan goes into affect!

No one ever thinks about where the money comes from just get it from the government.
