  • @neonxblondie Or flick the botton/sides to hear how thick it is. A low "thunk" means it is thick, and a high "think" means it is thin. Flick it before you ever start trimming, and flick it a few times in the process of trimming.

  • Something i learned from my teacher is before you start, put thumb tacks in a straight line on the inside of the bown starting from the bottem and going to the rim, and when your triming if you hit a tack, that means stop trimming there, and you should get about a 1/4th inch thickness all around .
