Gap Band - First Lover

Gap Band is an R&B/Funk band, from Tulsa, Oklahoma who rose to fame during the late 1970s and early 1980s with their heavily-charged dance anthems and love songs. Comprising of the Wilson brothers: Charlie, Ronnie and Robert. The band first formed as the 'Greenwood, Archer and Pine Street Band' in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The group's name was a tribute to the victims of the Tulsa race riots in 1921. Their success dwindled during the mid 1980s, although they have continued to record albums periodically and are still touring today. Charlie Wilson has established a successful solo career.
