  • @eaglestriker24 I've just been to see my GP. She's adamant my raw food diet is dangerous. I asked why I'm feeling beter now than I've felt in 20 years (8 of them with UC). She couldn't answer. She was just adamant that I eat a cooked diet that contains bread & eggs. I ignored her.

  • can you piss off your politics and save this thread for COLITIS. Idiots.

  • I cured uc after having it for 15 years with bananas. If anyone has UC, they have the choice to keep it or get rid of it. You make the choice. It's not a disease but warnings from your body that you need to make serious changes in your diet and lifestyle.

  • @whitbyjet65 Yea, I want to get into juicing, but when I start buying the produce it can get expensive especially since I cant use yogurt as filler. But I have to figure something out and experiment. Maybe once a month just flush my system and do hearty smoothies for 3 - 4 days to give my gut a rest. Also I have been eating sushi on the weekends so I can get fish oil in my system, that seems to help a bit.

  • @TheSicSmurf Sorry to hear you're not well. I'm eating cooked food now but I find that juicing carrot & cabbage (mix with apple to make it slightly more tolerable) keeps my falir-ups at bay. If I feel I'm going to have one, I juice for a day & it stops it happening. I'm not a doctor & I'm not saying this will work for everyone but it seems to work for me. Hope you improve yopur situiation. I know how tough it is.

  • @whitbyjet65 I am in the same boat. I have had Crohn's disease for 18 years now, since I was 8. And being so young when I got it I was told doctors are right and they know everything thats going on. I am now in the position where I am unable to work and I have a colostomy. They say avoid raw food at all costs and yet I'm still sick because I'm not getting the nutrition I need. I have recently started eating sushi and I have far few problems with that then I do with chicken breasts.

  • @whitbyjet65 Tell your GP she is an idiot. Western doctors have NO CLUE about nutrition and its impact on the body.

  • @valleart: thank you. "doctors" are, in effect, PAID to promote that synthetic garbage and then tell us our illnesses "incurable." PLEASE, PEOPLE, WAKE UP---

  • @valleart

You are so right. Did you know that Doctors are paid by the pharmaceutical companies every time someone fills a prescription that they write - that's how they can afford the fancy houses on the golf course!

  • medical establishments do know, but they play stupid. Their goal is for you to buy from the pharmacueticals. The medical establishment works with pharmacueticals. That is the reason why there will never be a cure for many diseases, because it would put a halt to thier increase profits.
