@jamalski70 what if he works for the company that makes the device, or a distributor, and making this review is part of their ninja marketing strategy? lol

@017madi Books appeal to all types of reading spectrums color and b&w and this should be the point of the kindle or any other reading device if they wish to appeal to all reading types, like books do. After all the whole point of a kindle is to be exactly like a book. And books come in both b&w and color in all reading spectrums.
-
@017madi, Why not? and that's an inaccurate comparison. For example there are comic book fanatics out there who would love to read their comic e books on a color kindle. The kindle should appeal to all reading formats not only the black and white spectrum.

there's a filmware update that allows pdf use

I still prefer to feel the book in my hands!

i have a pocket pc and a kindle - i would never, ever consider reading books on my pocket pc, the kindle is 1000x better for this purpose
I bought a Cybook Gen3 from Booken.
In less than a week the display stopped working. The unit had not had been dropped, hit, or damaged in any way.
Booken declined to repair or replace the unit under warranty stating, "the warranty does not cover broken parts".
They offered a repair for 100 Euros plus shipping. I suspect this is about their cost for a new unit.
The product seems good, but reliability seems to be an issue. The company ethics also seems to be a major problem.

yeah but it does not have epaper, you're missing the point of these devices.
With epaper you can read it outside in the bright sunlight. This is when good old fashioned real paper wins, but mabey epaper, now if only they where to be more realisticly priced...
