We had a Tornado Warning in Jackson County for Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Illinois. It touched down about 10 minutes from my house. Footage include lightning, some rain, circulation and what we thought was a funnel cloud but could not tell. Enjoy the video and do not try this at home!!! This is NOT the Inland Hurricane that took place May 8th, 2009...
the inland hurricane was may 8th and 1 person was killed

I could have done this video from my driveway and made shit up too.
It was right behind my house, but I didn't have a camera. Bummer

The bright sky above the video location is called a clear slot, and usually indicates tornado producing storms in the area. The scattered dark clouds in the distance are called scuds because they are not main storm clouds, instead just water vapor. They can be helpful in determining which way the storm is moving, and how fast. Only do this kind of video if you are a trained weather spotter.

Yeah Carbondale has some big ass houses, especially along Giant City Road. And yes, the West side neighborhoods has a lot. But then again, a lot of these house have sprung up in the past four years as well.
