The church of Our Lady of Guadalupe in East Chicago, Indiana presents the bilingual mass of Palm Sunday. Rev. Juan Gonzalez and Rev. Carlos Martinez celebrate the mass. There is video of the procession of the church members and those that portrayed the people during Holy Week from this day walking from St. Patrick's church to this church which will be uploaded on a later date. On this day we commemorate the day that Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem. Those that believed in him laid down palm branches on the ground as Jesus entered the city because they had heard his preaching and had seen him perform miracles. He later told them that he would suffer and die on the cross then later to be resurrected in fulfillment of the scriptures and to complete his work as our Messiah.
The Gospel explains what happened at the time of Jesus' arrest. When Peter denied knowing Jesus and when Jesus was brought in for questioning by Pontius Pilate. Jesus was put on the cross where he died then later he was buried in a tomb in the hopes that he would rise again.
