2nd place is always better than your 7th. And just a minute ago Finland was a shithole that will never beat anyone and now it's suddenly one of the main countries that play on the highest level. Finland has a little over 5 million of population so do you expect Finland would produce as much hockey talent as many times bigger countries?

Hockey isn't even the most played sport in Finland, only the most watched. But still Finland manages to be in the top few.

Hockey is a sport that thrives in cold climates, do you really expect Hockey to be popular in southern europe or asia lmfao. There are roughly 1.5 million registered hockey players in the world thats not bad for the 8 or 9 or so main countries that play it at the highest level.
