@robutta100 Thanks dumb ass, I appreciate the information. Oh by the way dumb ass, it's not 'there not muslim', It's, 'They're not Muslim'. Dumber Ass! A person who has never been taught a particular subject cannot be blamed for not having that knowledge but I do blame myself because I could have looked it up. You on the other hand attended school In the US yet have failed to comprehend English grammar. But what you say is true, I say 'Salaam Halaikum' often but I'm not Muslim.

@whereisdanman Before you come back at me saying I'm angry or untravelled, I have NO anger towards you & I have lived in a Papua New Guinea village with the people & I learnt their language, I also learnt the language of the Ni-Vanuatu. I lived in Peru and Cuba with the locals & I speak Spanish.
How many words of the Hamer people did you learn? Don't include 'Salaam', that's Arabic & I'm assuming they are Muslim people here, but I could be wrong. Did they greet you with 'Halaikum Salaam'?
This video was totally one sided. If you were serious about having a genuine interest in these people & their lives you would have employed the services of an interpreter. They never understood a thing of what you spoke & the only reason you were invited in was in hope of the cash you might give them. How would you like it if an Inuit man speaking ONLY his language was filming you & your family asking a lot of unintelligible inept questions & had the temerity to touch your child like you did his?

@kanakaken -- thanks for your note. I would not judge you because I don't know you. I can respond to your comment and say that these people speak Hamer. They don't speak Amharic. Even local Ethiopians don't speak Hamer. They welcomed me into their village and home. They don't use money so no money was involved. You have NO idea where I was, what I was doing, why I was there or anything, really. So, I'll let you continue to use your imagination.

@whereisdanman These people are Hamer-Banna and they are predominately Sunni hence using the word Salem/Salaam.My imagination now runs wild. I only judge what I saw.You spoke to the people in your form of English, they understood nothing. Being Sunni, they recite the Koran in Arabic yet you didn't bother to learn basic Arabic greetings or Hamer-Banna. please tell us you NEVER touched any women or girls as you did the boy, a blatant mistake against all Muslims.Where was interpreter?

@kanakaken -- I'm going to do you a favor and teach you something that you didn't know, or rather correct you on something that you thought you knew. First, the Hamer tribe is different from the Bana tribe. Although they both speak Hamer-Banna. Second, NONE of the tribes in the Omo Valley are "Muslim," they don't speak Arabic, and they don't know what a Koran is. Your imagination is humorous! Anyway, I'll leave you with some info so you can go learn: They believe in Animism. Look it up, buddy.
