@FreeMarketeers 1 Wealthy Politician that could afford to pay out of pocket vs 50 million American's that have no health insurance at all. In Canada everyone is covered and they spend half the money we spend and they live 3 years longer on average.
There was nothing flawed in the WHO and UN rankings for health care systems in each country.
Care to insert 25 cents and try again?

We need more of these videos exposing the true cost of our health care system when there is no real competition, transparency, or market forces working.

Consider This. In America the average price of an MRI Scan is $1500. In Japan where all primary care insurance is non profit and those payers have collective bargining rights a MRI Scan is $98.
DUMBASSES!!!
The only time a "Free Market" Health Care System ever worked is on a chalkboard at the University of Chicago.

@genYprogressive83, instead of name calling, spend a little time studying history. What did America do before the 1930's? Before 1965? Second, what should the price of an MRI be, oh wise one? What is the "Correct" price? The video is simply stating that prices in the US have a huge disparity because people don't pay attention to what they pay. If you want prices to come down, it requirers us to actually pay attention to what we're buying.

@FreeMarketeers You want to know what American's did before 1965 and 1930? If you couldn't afford care like many did you died in the streets thats what they did. If you want to talk cost then give the payer systems the same collective bargining rights that the payer has in every other developed country the USA is the only country that doesn't do that with the acception of the VA.
I am sick to death of people making excuses for the fact the USA has the worst Health Care system in the world.

@genYprogressive83 Ohhhh, that's right, I forgot about all those historical facts showing huge numbers of society not being cared for, dying "in the streets." RESEARCH REQUIRES YOU TO ACTUALLY LOOK THINGS UP AND READ. While you are at it, look at the flawed data that ranks the "worst health care system in the world." If our system of care was so flawed, I doubt the Premier of Newfoundland (that's in Canada) would have traveled here to undergo Heart Surgery.
