Mary Coughlan delivered a wonderful take of the classic song 'My Land is too Green' from her 'Under the Influence' album. This great song was penned by Erik Visser and A. Hensey, and, as Mary said during the introduction, it proved to be controversial in Ireland, when the album was released back in 1987.
Mary played a superb set at Monroe's in Galway, Ireland, on Friday, September 23st, 2011. Mary travelled across the country to Galway on the evening, specially to perform at the 'Michael D Higgins for president' fund raising event.
It was an impressive marathon night of music (over 7 hours), with many fine musicians there to perform and support Irish presidential candidate, Michael D. Higgins.
Featuring Pawel Grudzien on piano

Am I glad to hear this live version, after listening to the CD for so many years! Erik's influence is overtly present, but Mary voices his music to the highest degree!
