  • Thanks for this vid!

  • McCartney's bass line seems a lot more simple. Don't see him moving long ways away from the primary or putting in a lot of extra notes in.

  • @davidbowierocksilove Höfner violin bass

  • wat kinda bass is that?

  • Why is this in a different key?

  • can you tell what modifications u have

  • Hey, You've got a point there! Never thought of it that way. I was not questioning your bass playing. My apologies to you!

  • @moonmantwo I'm wondering how much of it is the fact that the Contemporary is semi-hollow vs the '63 model (and Icon as well) which is fully hollow and the difference in sound makes it seem "off." Alternatively, I have noticed when I play along with many of the Help! tracks it sounds like I'm out of tune, and I use a tuner so I don't think I am. Could it possibly be something with the original Master? Or maybe they tuned to themselves and were not at true concert pitch?

  • contineously: In" the middle section" D down to A and E down to B but then up to the "upper A" and so forth 1st turn; last vers Paul starts from the lower A and goes up to E and keeps on going that way instead of as before with the A an octave higher; last v changes position for the " please come on back.." to pllay it lower down on the neck.

Just an other thing, Paul leaves a gap before going into the dark- but when you told me...,, theer are a few other things too but you check. Thanks!

  • Hi! I checked your " I´ll follow the sun" a week ago, just perfect as far as could see, I´m just a hobby musician but I love details. You got it right with all the variations where to go and the fingerings.

I checked this " I need you" now and find some differences from your version, if it matters to anyone; it´s just that Paul likes to search for variations all the time and he has such a intuition for what fits. That gliss E to F# I can´t hear, and the "middle" that has a darker side goes down
