HOW WAS SHE ATTACHED TO AN INFANTRY PLATOON!?!?!?! practically everyone is telling me that if i become a medic (68w) i wont be attached to any kind of combat unit. how was she chosen????

@FelchBelcher My ultimate goal is to be a CRNA, but i've got a ways to go before that happens. Been looking at books for medical surgical nursing and wound care.

@blueladydragon88 If you have CNA, you are way ahead of the rest of your class. The only other books I suggest are anything on emergency medicine. In basic, you'll have to store it with your civilian clothes and you won't see it again until you finish - no big deal because you won't need to study until you get to Ft. Sam. I was there for 15 weeks but it was in '89! Since then, lots of med training is done at other locations. You're getting your LPN, correct?
