Your organization shall establish, document and implement a quality management system in accordance to the ISO 9001:2008 International Standard. It must be maintained in order to continually improve upon its effectiveness.
To do this, you must determine the processes needed for the quality management system and their application throughout its operations, sequence and interactions of these processes, the criteria and methods needed to ensure that both the operation and control of all processes within the quality management system are effective, and necessary resources and information to support the operation and monitoring of these processes.
You will also need to monitor, measure and analyze these processes in terms of their performances, and also, specific actions are to be implemented in order to achieve planned results and continual improvements.
Your quality management system will be made up of processes which relate to: Management responsibility (Clause 5), Provision of resources (Clause 6), Product realization (Clause 7), and Measurement, analysis and improvement (Clause 8).
Whenever a process is outsourced to a third party, suitable control methods must be applied over it in order to ensure conformity to the requirements of the quality management system, including all applicable legal requirements.
Your quality management system documentation must be made up of necessary documents and records that will ensure the effective planning, operation and control of the process.
