Roger that, yesorlando. And to Piratesorthec3, no man stands alone...so what,s your point? Each character had its part to play and together they made one of the best tv series ever made, in my opinion.

Joke after joke, Line after awesome line. Episode after episode. Year after year. And performed to perfection. How did the writers and actors do it? You talk about magic in a bottle! The 70's was TV Heaven (AITF, Sanford & Son, Lavern & Shirley, Jeffersons, etc.). An insaine amount of talent in those days. Outside of documentary/history-type channels, I watch no current tv programming. It's boring, talentless crap. God bless the 70's and youtube!

@AgApE010 Without the other characters there would be no Archie, and without their annoyances to him, there would be no humor. So Archie is not the foundation of the humor by any means, moreso when he was the last character on the show, aside from Stephie and the occasional appearance of Gloria and Mike.
