Mike I drive a 2013 Accord and I felt the same way initially. But the buttons are now found on the steering wheel and become very natural to use next to your thumb. They even control the music on your phone with the buttons on the steering wheel so if you are using bluetooth audio you don't have to look at your phone to change stations, volume, or source. If you liked Honda's before I can tell you the new one is by far the best accord ever..

Where are the mechanical buttons for the radio stations? I didn't see any. If there are none, then this is a dangerous entertainment system, as the driver has to take his/her eyes off the road to change a station....a stupid design, bad technology. Too bad, Honda used to be so good on the details.
