Learn to play Blues Guitar The Easy Way: www.texasbluesguitar.net . Heres the close up of my fingers that you asked me to put up. Remember all you "What year is your Strat?" Guys...its not the guitar..this is a Chinese Squire Bullet strat right out of the box....It's in your heart and soul. That's why I call them "Pain Machines"

  • It might be a cheap guitar (I bet it's a decent amp) but you've drowned the real tone of it out in so much reverb and distortion. It's all too heavy for a blues purist like me. Nice playin' though.

  • Thank You for you kind comments. Sometimes I feel the same way myself and like to just hear and play it straight and dry...with just the natural tube distortion....Anson Funderburgh is my favorite at Pure TONE. I'm not fit to carry his Strat for him! Thanks, Rev. Muddy

  • i don't mean to be annoying or anything but could you please tell me the repeating lick at :50-about :52... i've been trying to figure out how to that forever.

  • It's a Hendrix lick that I lifted off "Bleeding Heart" also known as C# Blues off of his very first posthumous live album that was produced (Ilegally) by Alan Douglas. I still have the album. It's a 2 record set that I've had since it came out in 1972-1975 somewhere in there. I'm filming a DVD of close-ups of my fretting hand that will be all playing at regular speed and then slow motion with explanations of all these and some of the licks that Stevie and I learned together. Thanks, Dennis

  • Thank You all for you very kind comments,I should have replied long ago. It IS the Super-Sonic head but run through the homemade wooden box you see with 2X12 Chinese reissue

G12M Celestions ordered off MF for $99.00 each and then made the Box from 1/2" pine. The back is closed. Its a Boss Compressor, Boss Blues Driver & a Boss DD-6 Digital Delay. Me and Stevie both got our licks from the same people at the same time, and then we sat around in the Cellar Club and swapped them back and forth.

  • Yes it's true this a Squire "Bullet" From China and they used to sell them at GC for like $60.00 brand new (no case of course) I Took it straight ou of the box and these are first note that were ever played on it.

    Dennis....Thank You! Dennis Dullea

  • Thats awesome. Living proof that while a good guitar can make any player sound good, a good player with the right effects can make any guitar sound like an expensive, custom made instrument.

  • what fantastic playing!

  • Dennis Denim, that's your stage name haha.

  • its not the Guitar Dennis cause thats a Bullet but u make it sound like a vintage Strat. nice work Brother.
