  • is that the saving private ryan music on this one?? :D

Since when was world war 1 'ulster's fight'???

I think it was a world war.....?

  • perhaps ;)

Well obviously Ulster didn't fight WW1 alone, but the UVF formed the 36th Ulster Division which fought in WW1, to prove their loyalty and keep Ulster from Dublin Rule - many thousands didn't return home.

Yes it was a World War, the first one!

  • Fuck the Ulster bitches and the UK crown that control them.England for the English and Ireland for the Irish.

  • @UlaidhAlbaMedia You will also find the only batillion tocomplete their objective on the first of july were the 36th Ulster

  • After the English had finished their genocidal ethnic cleansing of the north of Ireland they had to move in many people from Scotland to live on and work the land. The thing most northerners are unaware of is many of these Scots planters came from blood lines going back to when Ireland Ruled much of Scotland under the Dal Riada a kingdom that influenced most of Scotland. In Fact this is why many Scots can still speak Gaelic. Also the term Scotti means Irishman. So Welcome home my Irish Brethren

  • splendid photos of Mr Gladstone introducing the Bills. Where did you get them?

  • Jeeze - what a phoney page, and the guy has the goddam arrogance to use the music from Saving Private Ryan (who was obviously of Irish descent).

It's like looking at history with one-eyed passion. Many Irishmen in what became

Southern Ireland, fought in the Ist World War and at the Somme.

Why the hell do these planters have to take the credit and hero worship as the heroes of World War One? And many Irish fought in WWII too.

  • @MegaGuitarman2010 My name is William and I am a working class protestant from Belfast. I am curious to know is it every generation of Ulster Protestant in which you hold this dislike, or just those who were actual platers in the 1600's. If you hold, for example, me, responsible for the plantation are you aware of how bigoted you appear. I invite genuine discussion, but if you are one merely for cheap name calling, please don't bother. kindest regards...

This is so amusing. This guy turns Irish history into camera obscura...it's upside down. I would urge anyone to read 'Queen's Rebels: Ulster Loyalism in Historical Perspective (Classics of Irish History)' by David W. Miller for a more truthful account of this bizzare political phenomena called Ulster Loyalism. A people now totally despised by the English establishment for being an embarraising anachronism in the modern world.

Christ, is this guy for real? What an absolute perversion of history.

The Ulstermen you speak of were planters from lowland Scotland and England who were planted in the island of Ireland in 1609, involving the suppression and usurpation of the native Irish. Hardly smething to be proud of?. Here the pariahs

are depicted as the native Irish who wanted self-goverment .

Yes, they did because they were downtroddent and treated badly by the imperialist oppressors whom you revere.

  • yeah well there used to be 66% prods up north and now theres close to 50%. Thats a much higher decrease. ITs nothing to do with the protestants being sectarianly oppressed catholics jst happen to breed a lot faster.
