GREAT HINT BUCKY! re: Option-double-clicking to see a description of any method!
Huge time saver!

keep getting type of property 'button' does not match type of ivar 'button' help D:
-
@scooped13 While I don't agree with your tone, I was actually thinking along the same lines. It would have been nice to know about the option+double click trick a long time ago. Better late than never, though.
That's the reason I sit though the whole tutorial even when I think I'm "ahead" of what Bucky's saying... I never know when he's going to give me that useful nugget!
-
@Chandlerk1223 I got exactly the same error - ivar button
-
Love You Bucky :}
-
in what objective c tutorial does he teach boolean statments??
-
I'm getting this error: "Type of property 'button' does not match type of ivar 'button'." It is placed over the code: "@synthesize button;
@HakSnor come on, that's his personality... that's what makes Bucky -> Bucky!

@barbarianl3t The asterisk is how you declare that your variable is a pointer variable. Pointers are basically like references to other variables. The UISwitch mySwitch is a pointer that points to sender so you get a reference of sender. Because you're not referencing another boolean, you don't use the asterisk symbol when declaring it.
Look up pointers for more information.
