That is no excuse for what they DID to those people. I don't care if the Branch Davidians had every illegal weapon possible for a citizen to get their hands on. The ATF and FBI still had the upper hand and they abused their power! Were tanks really necessary? Was gas? Was it necessary to shoot the dogs? if you look at the original search warrant, you will see that they had put down child abuse and neglect. 80% of the warrant dealt with that. When does the feds. serve warrants for child neglect and abuse? Also none of the recovered "automatic" weapons were ever proven to be anything other that "semi automatics" which are perfectly legal.

The gooberment uses the terms "assualt" rifles to scare the sheeple. Semi autos are legal, the full 3 rd burst version auto's are assault weapons
