so im looking at getting an 86 zx6 myself. its at a dirt cheap price and could probably talk him down another couple hundred haha. but are they worth it? im not looking for a screamin eagle but i want some power, would this be the way to go? when i mean dirt cheap im talkin like 500$ its ugly and needs paint. but it runs, just needs some carb work

get a 80 dollar carb sink guage, then take your time, buy a ton of jets and get it perfect, it will only make it last longer, other than that, try different oils and see if the sounds change

i think thats just the valvtrain noise but i think u might need sync ur carbs

@duffy5811 my bad, i just saw this comment after i posted. i love the classic ninja 600's. they're so heavy duty powerful...old school tech that doesn't care for the environment lol

could be ur clutch. but seems like u need to tune it. revs don't come down quick enough. also ur idle is horrible, did u sync the carbs, especially after ur valve adjustment?

ive got a 87 zx600 myself, curious where you got the polished tripple tree/ bar ends and controls, looks nice, sounds pretty good too.

Thanks for the comment. I made the triple tree cover myself. Basically i took a piece of cardboard and cut out what i was going to lay down, then i took a harder piece of plastic and cut out the final copy, I laid down a chrome sticker over the face of it and used double sided tape to hold it to the tree.! as for the bar ends I had an 97 ZX7R with those on it, and for shits and giggles I tried them on to see if they would fit and they did. if you buy some bar ends for a 97 ZX7R They should fit

Cool video man; I've got a '91 zx600c. These older ninjas take a while to get set up properly, but when you finally do it's all worth it.
I'm curious what jets you're running with the pods/exhaust.
Enlighten me if so inclined :)
Thanks.

I believe i am running stage 3 Jets with a K&N type pods. Still need to set up the carbs correctly. bike isn't running at its full potential.
