  • Awesome layout man.

  • @hyouma09 Thanks, I'll post a new video soon when I've done some work plaster casting the rocks and rest of the sea wall.

  • @tomdauben No proble, I'm making an 009 and HO cross-connection layout involving the new Thomas and Friends special Blue Mountain Mystery :).

  • @hyouma09 Sounds interesting. There seems to be quite a Thomas related community on YouTube!

  • is this a dcc layout? nice to see smooth running in this scale.nice also to see a nice long run in this scale, not just a 2ft box! very commendable!

  • @tophski009 Thank you very much. Yes, it is DCC. I use the Gaugemaster (or MRC if you're in America) Prodigy Advance 2 which powers both locos and points/switches.

The decoders are Zimo, Digitrax or Gaugemaster.

If I leave the railcar that is at the start of the video on speed step 1 it takes two hours to run the length of the layout!

  • @tomdauben Well actually, my grandfather said no to me getting anymore kit-build stuff so I'm going to make an O9 (7mm scale locos running on 9mm track) La'al Ratty with the four main locos, three passenger diesels, and two of the permanent way diesels :).

  • @LNER4771 I'm going to use plaster and artists acrylic gel as it's good at representing big waves. I've tried Woodland Scenics products for water in the past and it's ok, but only good for smaller waves.

  • What are you thinking of using for water? I read somewhere that there is a type of paint which you can use for water.

  • @ajhdbsteam Thanks! :) Adding papier mache to the scenery definitely makes it seem more complete.
