  • When I first started using the Soft Paws I had to have the Vet trim her nails and apply the caps because she went nuts when I tried to trim her nails. Now she will let me know when a cap has fallen off and actually seems to enjoy having her nails done. I think she loves the attention. Check out Missbiscuit823, Kitty gets a manicure.

  • Just bought soft claws today... they are AMAZING! My cat was scheduled to get declawed next week...so I figured I'd do some research. When I found out how many negative side effects declawing can have, I decided I didn't want to put my kitty through that. I'm so glad I found soft claws...it was extremely easy to put on my boy and he doesn't even notice them!!!

  • We just trim our rescue-kittie's claws. He's got hellishly long nails and he apparantly doesn't know how to retract them, and he doesn't mind the clipping. He never goes outside anyway.

  • @Francheska7778 There are different procedure types so it depends on your veterinarian. They will either surgically remove the first part of your cat's digits or burn them off with a laser. Declawing a cat is not a simple procedure - it's actually amputating part of their phalanx off. In comparison to humans, it would be like cutting off half of our fingers. The cost could range anywhere from $80-$300 but that doesn't include possible complications. The soft claws last about 6 weeks on my cat :)

  • @deeboz25 how much were they going to charge you for declawing your cat? and how long do those soft claws last? thanks

  • they really work good and saves your leather furniture from geting destroyed lol

  • omg why the hell would even consider declawing ur cat that is sick.. best thing to do is trim ur cats nails its painless its just like cutting ur own nails and its acutally nice lol my cat started to punch me instead of scratching -.-

  • @PotterSpurn I agree this doesn't seem right at all. I just find it easier to buy a scratching post

  • Is this safe? It won't upset the cat by wearing them will it?

  • Daft. Cats are not toys and soft claws encourage kids to rough play with cats, which they hate and could bite them instead, which is even worse than a small dog bite. How can a cat climb trees or jump onto things or defend themselves from predators?. I think this idea is hideous. If you want nice furniture and carpets, and don't want small kids to be scratched, don't buy a cat. Simple.

  • soft claws are from hell
