I've been trying to find an authentic tamburello for a small group that I'm in. My tambourine is fine, but I want the real thing! How could I buy one? Or find other street percussion instruments?

Exactly. They are for sale. This video has been shot in a mountain location called GAMBARIE, around 40km away from Reggio Calabria. There are some small street markets there where you can buy typical regional instruments like TAMBURELLI and also local food specialities. Let me know if you're interested in purchasing anything! :-)
