old but a good running tracor. hood, side panels, grill were repainted inthe 1970's. engine was rebuilt after retired from farming somewhere in the 1960's or 1970's. power steering is handy but could use a rebuild on the cylender's they leak out the fluid hence the green pail. power steering is necesary when using the loader boy it helps alot. ill show it running and driving some day same with the jd 70 and the L their all on my list of things to do as soon as there all fixed or unburied inthis case.

  • cool tractor

  • thanx

  • sweet. just remember. i learned from lots of farmers over the years. there's no wrong way to restore a tractor. every modification, dent, and odd tire tells a story.

    good luck!

  • this is as restored as it will ever be. just as granpa last had it. exept i like to put up its original ji case umbrella because its unique and unseen today ill show it maybe later on this weekend

  • my great grandpa had it fited to the tractor some time in the mid 1960's after he quit farming. as to its power. we used to plow the gravel driveway to the barn with the fron wheels in the air in 2nd gear at only 1/2- 3/4 throttle. it always did fine. but boy that power stearing was necesary with the loader attached. loader workes great. its a johnson hydrolick workhorse model 40

  • its got a really beefy loader attachment and those little 5.00x15 tires too. lets hope its not too underpowered for it. its a good arrangement tho. hydraulic steering helps to turn it a lot i would think. mine is manual, i had to put a steering knob on the thing to help me turn it when it's not moving.

  • we figured it might be a 20hp engine i said 25 but that was my mistake. we have thought for many years that it was 20hp. but 15hp is probably more like it

  • yeah you're right. its not easy. i've got a tonne of books too, including Case manuals for my VAC. they all say something different.
