Ranger Frank introduces Hopi the Barn Owl who lives at Placerita Canyon Nature Center in Los Angeles County.
There are many fascinating animals to meet at the 19 County of Los Angeles Nature Areas and Wildlife Sanctuaries.

Sad to hear Hopi escaped the Placerita Canyon Nature Center in July -- apparently a male barn owl wooed her and she chewed her way out of her enclosure. Hope she's ok!

I want to take care of a barn owl...but I can't. Especially because I can't provide what the bird needs :( But at least I can still admire these wonderful birds ^^
