Marlong Starling was an excellent fighter. He and Curry deserve to be inducted into the hall of fame.

yeah he did fold up against davis and starling the first time, but I think it was a lack of chin in both instances rather than the balls. I dont know what you think. But than again maybe your right, he had already won a gold medal, been on magazine and media covers, done a hollywood film, and already had a world title and $60,000 a year annuity that he has to this day

Yes, I followed his career on ABC/USA TNF.. He was too nice, & lacked the testicular fortitude to win a tough grueling fight.. Ala, the Davis & Starling fights.. I actually was a huge fan of Breland, & think he gets dissed too much.. He was a two time champion, even though the champions he beat were subpar..

how was breland too nice for the sport? u obviously didnt see him half murder honeyghan or mutilate lee or ozaki? Breland was a brutal puncher but he was esoteric he had interests in acting,poetry and had a brain. he could have been a success outside boxing more so than many. But too nice? no he could be nasty
