@gohwuiping I am basically playing the same thing on my strumming hand for both 4 bars. The trick on the difference is on the chord hand. (which I should place my camera on). I lift up the left hand every few stroke in order to get the staccato effect.

Staccato simply means short sound. Which means you lift up your left hand immediately after every few strum, in order to get a short sound.

What do you do with chords that have open strings? For instance, you can't possibly just lift up your fingers for the E chord, since there are open strings.
