my student Ishaq (ZIG SHORT / LITTLE YIP MAN) Sloan. fighting for the very first time..ever! @ the "Man Up Stand Up" tournament 2009.(Sifu Novell Bell gave him the nickname "Little Ip Man" after watching this fight.) although Ishaq did not win this match, he shows great potential, and is very dynamic with his wing chun.

  • Dont sacrifice power for speed i rather hit them once and knock them out and go home

  • @prebirth91 i have taken wing chun i really think it blows but i was talking about the fool in the video not all wing chun.

  • @marekmaxpabianice

The reason why I said it's the fighter that makes the difference and not the style is because the fighter must ultimately make use of his ability to adapt to whatever his martial art is. Every fighting style has it's good and bad points, if you feel that certain styles are 'inferior' to others, then you can combine them into one and make it your own. All this was part of Bruce Lee's philosophy, be formless, his style was to have no style.

  • @marekmaxpabianice you are partially right. I use my wing chun in boxing all the time. And its always useful. The gloves in hands make a huge difference for wingchun open hand techniques. So no it doesn't mean that you cant use something while sparring, it wont be useful in a street fight.

  • @egresham1743 i understand your teacher was really bad at teaching or you have never actually attended a wing chun class. There are side stepping and foot work in wing chun and no side stepping will not always work. against that guy up there in the video anything would work lol

  • @kungfuy123 no style is a style. it is ones own style. A fighter has strong strikes and weak strikes. They will use the same moves no matter how many moves they can do. There is always a limitation to what they know. But you are right you can call a no style person a fighter and unfortunately not a martial artists. If someone is doing wingchun he SHOULD be doing wing chun if he is mixing up he is just creating his own martial art. Misleading thumbnail

  • @prebirth91 ummm... dont you think wing chun practitioners know that their chins are up and hands away? There is a reason. And no one in this video was using wing chun.

  • @egresham1743 or just plant and throw a hook seeing as they just stand infront of you with their chins up and their hands away from their face

  • @marekmaxpabianice yeah style has it's uses but it's also been proven that u should not get stuck in one style or the idea of styles and free ur mind. Sometimes the most dangerous opponent is the unpredictable fighter who uses no style.

  • all they teach in sing chun is chain punching and front kicks. side step them and fights over.
