A beautiful and brilliant song written and performed by Meredith Andrews and Jared Anderson (Jared, of Desperation Band and New Life Worship fame). I love the first two verses in particular, especially the very first line "I'm turning the world off, embracing the silence". You have to be careful there; it doesn't mean that we should ignore the world altogether. The Great Commission says otherwise, that we are to reach out. I think it's saying that we should ignore the aspects of the world that might bring us down. And that's what Romans 12:2 says - "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."
This song is from Meredith's album "As Long As It Takes", which won the Dove Award for the Worship Album Of The Year. An outstanding album, which I highly recommend.
Nicely done! I appreciate the HD!

Such a beautiful reminder in such a chaotic world. Just to shut everything out and put my face back on the floor... worshiping my Creator. :) Right where we belong :)

Bob, your photos are MAGNIFICENT! Really liked the young black girl with candles, & the last photo of young girl with ponytail praying outside, & the photo of 'all things
I see are temporary' with the bouquet of dead roses, & lady with her arms spread, praising God at sunrise! WELL done! Enjoyed ALL the words to this pretty tune.
