Yesu ni wangu (Jesus is Mine)

We received word today that our dear friend, James Njuguna, has passed away. James was the director of Fadhili Community (fadhili.org) that, among many things, helped to place international volunteers into local orphanages & schools around Kenya. Our work through Jump for Joel is a result of a Fadhili placement.

We were blessed to have James visit us in Springfield (Illinois, USA) last winter. This video is from one of our worship services, where James led us in singing Yesu ni Wangu (Jesus is Mine).

Lyrics in Swahili: Yesu ni wangu wa uzima wa milele.

The Swahili can be translated in English as either of these two statements:
"Jesus is mine for evermore, for eternity"
"Jesus is mine, He is (the God of) everlasting life."

You are deeply missed, James. Thank you for being in our lives, if even for a short period.
