Twice now I've updated the description and tags on this and twice it's reverted to nothing. Third time lucky as they say.

Right, this is my underfloor lighting. It consists of a stack of two sticky pistons and then two normal pistons in opposing each other and some control circuitry. Basically the top piston is extended and the bottom piston is retracted. The top piston holds a piece of floor in place. When you pull the switch the top piston pulls the floor down. Then the opposing pistons swap it for the the glow stone. Then the bottom piston extends followed by the top piston to push the glowstone above floor level. The order is important because you can't push a powered piston. Then when you turn the lever again first the top piston retracts pulling the glowstone to floor level. Then the bottom piston retracts pulling the top piston down. Then the top piston extends and retracts to pull the glowstone down and then the side pistons swap it back for the floor piece and you can work the rest out yourselves :)
