The first fruit is also called sugar-apple and comes from a small tree or shrub. The edible part is the pulp white and sweetly aromatic. The latin name is Annona squamosa.
The atemoya, Annona ×atemoya, is a cross between two tropical fruits the sugarapple (Annona squamosa) and the cherimoya (Annona cherimola) this fruit is found also in Cuba (where it is called mamon), and in Venezuela ( chirimorinon). In Lebanon the fruit is called "Achta" and is used in many lebanese deserts.
