So good that you did this clip about Steve and that he corresponded. I've been learning classical guitar off and on for a couple of years now and so couldn't resist the temptation to tackle 'Horizons' off the Foxtrot album. It's difficult! But it gives a great deal of insight and respect for the man who as you rightly say is a gentleman surrounded by industry carnivores!

I wish Steve would play the Lamia solo live these days.

Great video and A/B of the difference between the Lamb album and Archive boxset. Bass pedal is great in the boxset! I was fortunate enough to have been at that Shrine Auditorium concert in '75. At the time, I had no idea who Genesis was. A co-worker had two tickets way up at the very top of the theatre. I was invited at the very last minute when his girlfriend couldn't attend because of the flu. It has remained one of the most memorable concerts I have ever seen - and I have seen plenty!

I never thought I'd see a prog rock blonde fan, and really pretty, sorry couldn't help it ;) I found your description compelling and amazingly savvy. I'm also a huge fan of the Lamb and appreciate the difference between the old and new recordings. Steve's guitar sounds technically and better on the new ones, but being quite a purist myself, I think the original's atmosphere and mood can't really be reproduced due to the unique emotional process of the band when making this masterpiece

I am a indie artist as well as a keyboardist. Tony Banks is my all time fave. Hope to meet him someday and ask if i can play his solo material on my indie radio show.
Awesome vid. Very impressed by your knowledge of the band as well as you studio "saviness".
And yes you are very beautiful. But , being a faithful husband, I am more into your mind..
Cheers...

@LileighWhiteLilith Hi there came across this channel by accident thanks very much for this rich information about an epic band, being a sound engineer yourself, I am sure you agree with me that Alan Parsons is a superb engineer like your self!

@rick4777 ~ Wow...being mentioned in the same sentence as the impeccable & uber-talented Alan Parsons is, in of itself, an incredible honor. Thank you, Rick !
