  • @Chetnik313 And what YOU dont get is that religion can ruin peoples lives if taken to extremes(which is inevitable). For instance.....I was taught my whole life that the world was coming to an end and my specific christian offshoot claimed that all believers would be forced to suffer through a tribulation period and the one world government would hunt us down and torture us if we didnt staple our brains with the mark of the beast...Growing up with that shit kind of breeds anti social tendencies.

  • Read my explanation on page 2. What dont you people get? Is logic some kind of mystery to you?? Logic is responsible for all fucking modern technology. What does religion have to show for itself? The earth is not 6000 years old... the stars have been proven to be way more than 6000 lightyears away, meaning light took at least LONGER than that to get to earth... The universe evolved...and with evolution there is no need for god AT ALL. All religious dogma has been proven false by science.

  • Anyway It is a great song.

  • The Bible is a good piece of fiction. HAHA. It has been translated and rewrote somany times who the hell knows what it originally said. Maybe moses was a little off and didn't hear GOD right that day. Believe what you want and let others do the same. Religion is to blame for most of whats wrong in the world today.

  • @PizzaHunter2011 We're having a communication issue here XD No, I´m not saying that is correct believe that you are god (...)... I'm saying that I accept the personal faith of each one. People need something to hold on and that's understandable. And God has never spoken maybe because he can´t... maybe because he don't exist. Honestly, that doesn´t really matter. I just get pissed when people use God and religion to blame their own idiot acts...

  • @ToLiveIsToDie422 So youre saying that If I believed that I was god and when I die my true nature will be revealed to me and I will be able to create universes at will... that would be correct? Also as far as "god having never spoken", I agree on that one. But as far as religion is concerned god HAS SPOKEN. In fact if god truely has never spoken like you say, then how the flying fuck do we know about his supposed existence if he never told us???

  • Who cares about whether or not people choose to have faith in something. Just have faith in this song - all time classic. I remember sitting in my room for hours in '93 totally and utterly blown away that a band was doing this. It is completely unique sound. Couldn't care less what the words meant - the music spoke to me. Viva la Tool.....

  • Atheist anthem!!!!

  • @PizzaHunter2011 Not all religions believe in a singular God, of course. But, to me, say that there's a God for fire and other for water is the same that say that there's one for fire and water. Everyone believe in something. Who doesn´t believe in God (or Gods), believe in the truth of science, but that is only a different faith. My point is: People fight beause they want. If they tell they're speaking in name of God, they're just being stupid because God has never spoken...

  • @ToLiveIsToDie422 What about scientology? It declares we were once all immortal omniscient beings(gods) that created our own universe, until we forgot our true nature. Look it up. The problem is that all religions are NOT the same. Some religions dont even say anything about a singular god being. The main underlying theme of religion is that we as human beings fear death, and demand some kind of afterlife or omni-being to save us from this fate.

    Desire, not truth.

  • @PizzaHunter2011 God exists, but He is the same for all. The problem is that different cultures and religions give him different names. There is where conflicts begin...

Basically, the problem is called humanity and their stupid fanatism, not religion by itself.

  • If you tried to give it some thought... would you really want to? Really? Want to?
