This song is ripped from an old music cassette from the late 80´s (~ 1986-1987) The cassette came as a free bonus with a computer magazine and contained some c-64 gamedemos and this tune. I Don´t know if its Rob himself that recorded this song for this bonus cassette. ENJOY!

  • I remember getting this on a covertape with ZZap but not realising it was an audio track. I kept getting my C64 to load it to no avail but when I finally realised.... wow - mind = blown! Thanks so much for uploading this!!!! Brings back so many great memories. What a tune.

  • I looked this up on Youtube , and yes, it was because I found the cassette too. Nice.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this. Brings back great memories of buying Zzap 64! magazine and listening to the covertape endlessly and mesmerised by Rob Hubbard's Fairlight skills!

  • WTF!! This is where that song came from! Have you ever played "playtpus"?

    Check this out : watch?v=c2vamjJeC2E

  • This is eargasm!

  • @Daz555Daz Neverending Story rocks.

  • @TheSacredTurf Me, too! I played it on one of those old cassette players and it fucking rocked!

  • This music is so good they should have put it in a sci-fi movie.

  • This sounds quite a lot like Billy Currie's instrumental solo work from Ultravox

  • This is indeed Rob Hubbard using his home studio. I remember reading the interview where this was mentioned. I also remember being flabbergasted to hear something of Hubbards that wasn't C64-related.

  • The tape was actually from Zzap #26, which was released somewhere around May 1987.
