@HawrahGold I do dislike your religion very much as I'm a bloke who dislike all religions (albeit i do consider Islam to be the most bonkers). But dont take my stance as ignorance: ignorance is the incapacity to question, which coincidently is a characteristic which epitomizes religious people. And of course your amigos don't hate your guts. But that doesn't mean they dont want to preserve their traditions and modus vivendi, which are radically from the ones Islam preconizes.
@bittercottoncandy listen.... if you have this much hatred or ignorance against Islam, I dare say that you will not hurt anyone but yourself. If the spanish people do not want "us lot" there..than I myself know that ur statement does not hold true for all spanish people living in spain. I have many Spanish friends living in many parts of Spain, who are not Muslim..and they do not have this perception or hatred towards "our lot" as who have put it. stop generalizing
@HawrahGold Wrong again. The locals don't want you lot there. I've lived in Spain and I speak the language. Spaniards don't reject their past, quite the contrary, but they don't it back. The moorish presence there is seen as part of the local folklore but with no impact or significance in today's Spain. And the fact that muslims dont accept that shows how "brotherly" you really are...
@bittercottoncandy don't talk on behalf of the people of Spain... its the Vaticans who made the decision for the Muslims not to pray in the mosque. Bin Laden represents those who are misled Muslims.. Their actions have nothing to do with the religion of Islam.. But anyways, at the end of the day we are all supposedly either brothers/sisters in religion or humanity..
@HawrahGold Osama does represent a lot of muslims but he's not the only one who thinks muslims should go back to Spain. You know that very well. Even supposedly moderate muslim Faisal Rauf, you know, the "embassador of peace" who decided to built a mosque close to ground zero, has decided to name his organization "House of Cordoba".
But you know, we're even focusing on the most important issue: the people of Spain do not want you there. How hard can it be to respect that?
@bittercottoncandy Osama bin laden does not represent Muslims, his behavior is distorted from the teachings of Islam. So, you can't use his statements to justify ur claims. btw, what made u "assume" i was a male?
beautiful... ;)

But it's a Christian cathedral and it has been for most of recent history. Why not make the Hagia Sophia into an Orthodox basilica once more?
