@rweghg3 been another night. If he decided to do coke and heroin just bc he couldnt jam then who is to say that if any other problem arose in his life that he wouldnt of used then to escape reality. Not jamming on stage with friends is a bummer but what if he got dumped or didnt get a movie role he was an addict and he still would of used eventually. There is no fucking reason why anybody in there right mind can personally blame Flea for his dying its ludicrious. Flea loved River and vice versa
-
@rweghg3 Thats a really shitty fucking thing to say you asshole. How the fuck do you know what kind of friendship they had? Nobody even knows for sure what happened that night and who was responsible for not allowing River to jam it could of been someone elses fault who made the mishandled mistake and Flea could of been the messanger bc they were mates. People have to realize River had a bad drug problem that is a fact. I hate to say it cause who knows but if it wasnt that night it could of..

There's a river born to be a giver,
Keep you warm won't let you shiver,
His heart is a never gonna whither,
Come on everybody time to deliver. - Give it away.

You will never find anyone like River, his unique. And just to correct you all Judy Davis (river's co-star on Dark Blood) put so much pressure on him trough out making the film that weekend he took drugs to relax. But instead he over OD and after he died, Judy Davis said ''He deserved to die, he was an unstable boy'' No he didn't deserve to die! He deserved help! Fucking stuck up, posh bitch. I wouldn't even spit on the pile of shit, Judy Davis.

Flea told river that he would not be able to jam with him (flea) & the band on stage at the viper room after he already promised river that he could...This upset river so bad that he fell back into his bad habit's & went on a drug hunt...We all know what happend next....THAT FLEA SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT FRIEND, stupid dick

@rockerlambert mate, u really need to take some reading comprehension classes!!! i never agreed with u that he didn't ask what he was taking. why else would i say he knew perfectly well what he took and that i never met anyone who wasn't asking what he was taking beforehand! i guess that makes u the dumbass!
-
@rockerlambert of course he took the drugs in the club. i never said anything else apart from that he probably smoked some pot that day. and i also never said anything about the pot having any effect or doing in his overdose!
-
@pacovl46 u obviously dont know what ur talking about because if u did ur research then u would relize that he wasnt high b4 he went to th club .. he was with his family and acing normal... you would also know that all the drugs that were in his system when he died went into his system at the same time except for the valium.. which someone gave him to help but that made it worse.. you cant smoke pot and then later in the day take other drugs and have the pot affect you.
-
@pacovl46 them main problem with speedballs is that the coke counteracts the effect of heroin and therefore u can do more heroin than u could do without the coke mixed in. BUT the coke wears of a lot faster than the heroin does, and when it does, depending on how much of it u did, u simply OD. and that's what happened to river. the valium they then gave him to get him back actually worsened it, and as i said b4 they waited too long to call the ambulance.
-
i don't understand what u mean. i don't think he got offered any shit, he was asking for it after his gig fell flat. he did speedballs b4 and that's probably what he was asking for. he definitely smoked some pot that day, and maybe took a valium, too. The thing with drugs is this: u buy some and do half of it. then u don't sleep, eat or drink all night because u r high. the next morning u take the other half and it's too much for yr body to handle because u were up all night.
If only there were more people like River Phoenix nowadays..

@ontariobuds How does "taking drugs" constitute a moral failing? Someone can, essentially, dedicate their life to others, donate and rally on behalf of goodness and because they stuck a needle in their arm or swallowed a pill, they are, somehow, a moral failure? Seriously? It's this view that prevents our societies from understanding addiction and helping people when they need it. It's a sign of intellectual laziness to equate human, biological responses to addictive substances, with "badness".
